Does Pulse need an agent on every machine?
Not for Proxmox. Proxmox VE, PBS and PMG are read through their API with a read-only token. An agent goes on Docker and Podman hosts, Kubernetes, TrueNAS and plain Linux, Windows or macOS machines.
Watch Proxmox, Docker, Kubernetes, TrueNAS and vSphere from one dashboard, with a page for each platform. Pulse keeps the history, warns about failed backups and filling disks, and pings the router or printer that cannot run an agent.

Threshold alerts for CPU, memory, disk and temperature, plus failed backups, unhealthy containers and offline nodes. Notifications go to email, Discord, Slack, Teams, Telegram, ntfy, Gotify, Pushover, PagerDuty or a webhook.
The Community edition in the GitHub repository is free and runs everything core, including seven days of metric history. Pro adds ninety days, RBAC, audit logging and reporting, and is sold through pulserelay.pro.
More apps in Monitoring.
Monitor CPU, memory and disk use across your machines from one dashboard. A small agent runs on each system and reports to a hub you host, which adds container stats, alerts and disk health.
Better Status Page is a self-hosted status page and uptime monitor that fits on one small server. It checks HTTPS, ping, DNS, database and Docker targets and alerts you through Discord, Slack, ntfy and more.
Monitor your websites and services and get alerts through more than 90 notification services.
Run website change detection on your own server. Add a page, pick the part to watch, and changedetection.io alerts you when its text changes, the price drops or the item is back in stock. Alerts go out by email, Discord or a webhook, and more services are supported.
Monitor servers, containers and homelab hardware every second, with ready-made dashboards and anomaly detection. It discovers what to watch automatically.
Check CPU, memory, disk and network use across your machines from one dashboard you host, with alerts and a small agent on each host. HTTP, ping and TCP checks cover services and certificates, and the web UI can open a terminal or browse files on a machine.
Send alerts from scripts, apps and services through a lightweight push notification server you host.
Automatically test internet speed on a schedule and save every result to track connection reliability.
