Yes. The install script sets 1Panel up as a systemd service with root, so the panel can manage OpenResty, the firewall, Docker and database services on the host. Run it on a server you are happy to hand over, ideally a fresh one.
The store runs open-source apps as containers, including Nextcloud, Bitwarden, Uptime Kuma, WordPress, MySQL, Redis and MinIO, and it adds PHP, Node.js, Python, Java and .NET runtimes for the websites you host. Updates also go through the store.
The open-source edition is free under GPLv3. The Pro edition starts at $80 a year and adds the WAF, multi-node management, website monitoring, a mobile app and priority support.
