Common questions

How do I start the Glances web interface?

Run glances -w and open http://your-host:61208 in a browser. Running plain glances starts the terminal interface instead.

Can I use Glances data in other tools?

Yes. Glances exposes a RESTful API when you run the web server, and can export stats to files, CSV or external time-series databases.

Can an AI assistant query Glances?

From version 4.5.1 Glances has a built-in MCP server. Add --enable-mcp when you run the web server to expose it.
