Screenshot of Scrypted website

Scrypted is a self-hosted NVR bridging IP cameras to HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, and Home Assistant simultaneously via WebRTC - no cloud required. Supports RTSP, ONVIF, Reolink, Hikvision, and more.

Includes local AI object detection (CoreML, OpenVINO, NVIDIA, Coral TPU), 24/7 recording, HomeKit Secure Video, and Frigate integration - deployable via Docker, Home Assistant, or Proxmox.

FAQs:

Does Scrypted work with Home Assistant?

Yes. Scrypted can be installed as a Home Assistant addon or run as a standalone server. It offers a custom HACS component and low-latency NVR cards for Lovelace dashboards, including two-way audio support.

What smart home platforms does Scrypted support?

Scrypted supports HomeKit (including HomeKit Secure Video), Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Home Assistant. It also has its own built-in NVR for local recording.

Does Scrypted support cloud cameras like Ring or Arlo?

Yes, but cloud cameras will have higher latency than local RTSP cameras because of the extra steps required to pull the stream from the cloud. For the best performance, local RTSP cameras are strongly recommended.
